Jen DeNike, Lolita Lo: April 30, 2013
Los Angeles Nomatic Division presents JenDeNike's Lolita Lo. Utilizing the intimate and plush setting of the Soho House West Hollywood's Screening Room, New York-based artist Jen DeNike will present her own version of Stanley Kubrick's Lolita with the presentation of both a video and performance that dialogs with the film's allure of the character Lolita. The presentation has an original piano score, performed live by composer Jay Israelson to punctuate the film and performances.

Joe Reihsen, Clean Title No Accidents: April 13 - May 25, 2013
Anat Ebgi is pleased to announce Clean Title, No Accidents, Joe Reihsen’s second solo exhibition with the gallery. The show will open on April 13, and will be on view until May 25. A reception will be held at the gallery on Saturday, April 13, from 6-8pm, coinciding with the grand opening of the new gallery space located at 2660 La Cienega Blvd in Culver City.

Anat Ebgi and Esther Kim Varet of Various Small Fires have invited Lucie Fontaine to present a solo show to be split between their two Los Angeles galleries. Lucie Fontaine has conceived a series of artworks, each comprised of two parts, which will be divided between the two spaces: half of each piece will be shown at Anat Ebgi, and the other half will be shown at Various Small Fires.

Aaron Young, No Fucking Way: May 11 – June 30, 2012
The Company is pleased to announce Aaron Young’s Los Angeles exhibition, No Fucking Way, on view from May 11 – June 23. In the current exhibition, No Fucking Way, six new paintings depicting Internet and magazine sourced portraits of tabloid sensations Casey Anthony, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Knox, Jessica Simpson, Heidi Montag, and the skating rivals Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan will be on view. The women obligingly pose with the American flag in some form -- either wrapped in it, dangling from their mouth, or worn as a bikini.

The Moving Image Fair, featuring Jesse Fleming and Alexa Gerrity: January 11 - 18, 2012
THE COMPANY is pleased to announce the screening of Jesse Fleming’s latest video work, The Snail and the Razor. The video will screen continuously during gallery hours from Wednesday, January 11th to January 18th, 2012. A special evening viewing and reception with the artist will take place January 14th from 7 – 9pm. The Snail and the Razor depicts an interaction between a snail and an erect razor blade. Watching the video in real time is at once suspenseful, agonizing, humorous, heroic, suicidal, and inevitably transcendent. The action starts small, growing as we reflect on, and identify with, the journey of the slow moving creature.

The Company is pleased to present Next time, they’ll know it's us, Eli Hansen’s second solo exhibition at the gallery. Next time,… expands upon his previous show, Predicting the Present, where his blown glasses were polished to be conduits for seeing and foretelling. The exhibition runs from January 21 – February 26, 2011. Hansen’s sculptures are assembled from a combination of materials sourced from the Pacific Northwest. A Northwest native, Hansen has been living on neighboring Vashon, a relatively isolated island accessible only by ferry, for the past 8 months.

Lisi Raskin, Mt. Disappointment: May 8 - June 26, 2010
The Company is pleased to announce Lisi Raskin's first solo exhibition in Los Angeles, titled Mt. Disappointment. Raskin will utilize The Company’s main gallery and garage in her staging of an immersive play environment. The show's narrative begins in the garage where Raskin has installed a large collage to serve as a stand-in for the incoming bomber threat that the Nike/Hercules missile program was designed to thwart. In response to this bomber collage, Raskin constructs a crude replica of a Browning M2 machine gun, a versatile, firearm usually mounted to tanks. However, in this case, Raskin has mounted the machine gun to a sculpture instead. Over the course of the exhibition, the garage space will also be the site for various performances that Raskin will stage.

Elias Hansen, Predicting the Present: January 14 – February 28, 2010
The Company is pleased to announce Predicting the Present by Tacoma based artist Elias Hansen. Elias Hansen assembled discarded furnishings, such as a side table and door, and inserted hand-blown concave/convex circular glass to transform the objects into makeshift “seeing” stations. Peering through the appended glass, an image of run-down house is revealed. The low resolution photographs were taken by the artist and digitally manipulated to appear worn and aged. The glass insertions into the furniture might gain entry into their essence—what have these discarded objects witnessed? Were they inside these homes before they became detritus? Hansen resuscitates the objects, altering their original function into a metaphysical one. Daily Serving

The Company is pleased to announce the exhibition of “Jesse Reding Fleming’s Methods of Invisibility: Shades of Gray (2001-2009).” In addition to an installation in The Company’s main exhibition space, the video for this project (shot while driving from California to New York in 2001, edited in 2009) will make its world premiere in The Company’s video garage.
